8 Frostkill 1115
A short battle ensued. Slyback proved to be more lethal and cunning than he let on, or even knew of himself. Amongst the bodies of the Inks they recovered five, smooth, round black stones that sparkled lightly under light. Cut in the middle of each stone was a square hole. Unsure of what these were, they pocketed them.
The two Dimugar bodies looked to be gored and cut. The drums continued to sound. Chants echoed off the caverns.
The party made the decision to camp within the mushrooms for cover. Then the chanting stopped. The drums silenced. The party saw Minotaurs approaching. Sweet Pops reacted to the Minotaurs in a new and novel manner. He boldly stepped out of the mushrooms and offered to parley with the Minotaurs. The Minotaurs voiced their response with a charge. Sweet Pops dodged a few blows, but several landed. Horns to the gut. Axes struck his arms and legs. Still, Sweet Pops persisted in his attempt to parley. The Minotaurs persisted in their plan to murder him. Which, without resistance from Sweet Pops, they very quickly accomplished.
Meanwhile, the rest of the party positioned to engage the Minotaurs. The battle was fought with trickery from Gemonie, and sniping from Slyback. Gemonie managed to stabilize Sweet Pops.
When we ended, Sweet Pops was unconscious and a single Minotaur remained.
